I'd like to invite everyone to join me in a Reading Group/Bible Study this
summer that works around John Howard Yoder's The Politics of Jesus.
The title is a little deceptive for an accessible, fast-paced and concise
book on theology and its application. The book essentially meditates on
what a "Messiah" really is (in Old and New Testament contexts), and how that
should impact what it means to worship Christ. We will read about a
chapter per week for the Reading Group/Bible Study and also go over the
Scriptural text that Yoder uses as we consider his arguments. The book
is a time-tested classic, and I hope you can join in!
